From a young age of 14, I had an aspiration to become a social worker. Pursuing this passion, I attended Eastern Michigan University from 1998 to 2006, where I achieved my undergraduate degree and subsequently, an MSW in social work by 2006. Throughout my educational journey and beyond, I've always found joy in pleasing others and solving problems.
After my education, I dedicated a decade to Community Network Services, continually serving and making a difference. However, my entrepreneurial spirit took a surprising turn in 2014. What started as an idea to serve food during yard sales led to the creation of Seoul Rolls. The initial flavor became an instant hit, propelling me to experiment and craft over 15 unique flavors that people came to adore. By 2016, the allure and success of Seoul Rolls persuaded me to dedicate all my efforts to it.
Embracing change and chasing dreams, I moved to Georgia in 2018, hoping to expand as a caterer. Two years later, I returned to Michigan, contemplating a shift to Ohio. During these transitions, even amidst skepticism from family and others, my dedication to Seoul Rolls never wavered. In fact, there were times I prepared egg rolls straight out of my vehicles trunk, always ready for eager customers.
For me, it's the rhythm of work that's exhilarating, especially the bustling moments that get my adrenaline pumping. This drive and perseverance culminated in 2021 when I launched my first food truck, "Seoul Rolls on the Go." My journey, from aspiring social worker to a passionate entrepreneur, reflects my dedication, resilience, and unyielding belief in pursuing one's passion.
